职位描述：: Position purpose/Summary statement

Responsible for the overall management of development and product costing of their respective brands.  Primary role is the development and costing of projects in conjunction with the needs of the brand.  To work closely with USPDM and other related department to ensure that the integrity of designs remain intact throughout the process.  Support USPDM in the development of cost effective product according to intended function.  Build rapport with related departments, factory and material suppliers to have mutual understanding and cooperation.

Job Scope
Realization of seasonal product from review of design package to shipping of samples, and product costing. This includes handing of the development package to commercialization, making sure that the integrity of the product is intact from commercialization to production, and review and confirmation of CBS before submitting to the costing manager.

Essential duties and responsibilities

        -      Manage and oversee the tasks and deliverables of direct reports while maintaining good team dynamics according to the Deckers Way.
        -       Facilitate seasonal design briefs though all sampling stages along CP milestones.
        -       Maintain a constant communication with USA Development, Factory and Suppliers to ensure that all inquiries, issues and requests are answered and implemented.
        -      Review last, blue prints, wood molds, and finished components to make sure they comply with Brand specifications and design brief. Communicate all technical issues and schedules to USPDM.
        -     Implement and monitor development and costing guidelines, procedures and CP.
        -     Review and Sign all confirmation shoes and make sure they comply with the approved materials and construction specifications.
        -      Conduct product  teardowns and advise recommendations to USPDM on how to improve quality, function, cost and ease of manufacture.
        -      Review CBS with Product Costing Analyst before submitting to China Costing manager.
        -      Review pullover and finished shoes to ensure that they comply with USA material specification and design briefs.
        -      Ensure that all correct production spec sheets, production confirmation shoes, spec changes, are properly endorsed to Commercialization dept and Production dept. in a timely manner.
        -      Responsible for the development of new materials and components and work with the Deckers Lab manager to establish material and components physical properties standards.
        -      Ensure that all samples are delivered according to the requested dates and specification.
        -      Periodically inspect and evaluate factory sample room, library and material warehouse to ensure they meet Deckers standards.

• 回顾楦头、蓝图、模具等确保其符合品牌特殊设计要求。与美国开发团队进行所技术及进度问题。
• 执行和监督开发和成本指引及流程的实施。
• 回顾和签署所有样品鞋确保其与批准的原材料及特别要求一致。
• 实施产品分解结构并提供有关质量、功能、成本和减少制造流程的建议给美国开发团队。
• 与成本分析员一起回顾CBS。
• 回顾Pullovers & finished 鞋以确认其与美国符合原材料及设计要求。
• 确保所有产品spec的正确性, 样鞋\spec的改变都有适当地及时地背书到技术部和生产部。
• 负责新的原材料,与实验室经理一起建立原材料测试标准。
• 确保所有样品按其要求与规格按时交付。
• 定期检查和评估工厂样品室,文档室及原材料仓库以确保其符合Deckers的要求。

Education/Experience:

• minimum 7 years in product development
-      Extensive knowledge of Product costing
• Basic knowledge in pattern making, last making, and mold making. Should be able to interpret 2D design and blueprints to 3D form.
• Extensive knowledge in various types of materials used in footwear
• Extensive  knowledge in footwear manufacturing
• Fluent in written and oral English

Skills/Knowledge/Behavior:

• Computer literate in Excel, Word with Flex-PLM experience a plus
• Strong personality and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to write and communicate in English
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints
• Ability to interpret design from a concept to a 3D form.
• Skills in costing and negotiation
• Extensive knowledge of shoe parts, constructions and cost.
• Ability to inspect footwear quality according to specified quality standard.
• Ability to work under pressure
• 至少7年产品开发经验;

• 具备基本的模型制造、楦头制造和模具制造知识,能够理解并解释2D设计和3D蓝图。
• 熟练的英文沟通能力(书面与口语)
• 阅读与解释蓝图的解释能力

• 具备根据质量规格标准检验产品质量的能力
• 具备承受压力的能力
