职位描述：: The chosen candidate will be responsible for the processing and project management of footwear development from 2D designs to final prototypes and sales samples for our Bata Power program;
She or he will need to successfully turn the product brief, needs of the brand, and the end consumer, into a sample that can be profitably commercialized.
Main Responsibilities/Duties:
1. Participate in meetings with the product creation teams during the entire development process. Execute the decision making process that will lead to on-time product confirmation and sales sample delivery.
2. Use effective, direct and clear communication to carry out the product creation process from initial concept, through commercialization and production.
3. Manage the sample making process with the ability to trouble shoot, identify and resolve any potential fit, function or costing issues.
4. Consistently review and evaluate project status with the product creation team and development head. Have a clear understanding of the following:
- Patterns & manipulation and implications
- Mold processes and materials.
- Pricing structures and cost analysis
5. Plan and carry out development projects according to critical timelines and pre-planned dates.
6. Create and maintain project specification sheets.
7. Send sample materials and whole shoes for lab testing and be able to interpret and take appropriate action upon lab results.
8. Convey development information to Bata product Manager as well as the supplier in China or other countries selected as a supplier
Qualifications:
1. Junior college education
2. 4-6 years related experience as a Product Developer
3. Individual must be proficient on a PC with knowledge of Excel, Power Point, Microsoft Office, Outlook. (Illustrator, Photoshop, are a plus)
4. Must have knowledge of materials used in footwear
5. Detail oriented with a fundamental working knowledge of footwear development, commercialization, and manufacturing
6. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
